In each case we follow the proven three-step-method:
Step 1. Detection - It is important to make sure that there are live head lice in the scalp before any treatment. The medical device LiceXtractor is used to vacuum-comb the hair for head lice. Once the hair has been completely vacuum-combed the lice collection filter included in the LiceXtractor is examined. If live head lice are found in the filter, or if visible eggs are found on the hair shaft, it is necessary to proceed to step 2.
Household check – If live head lice are found in step 1, we recommend that everyone that lives in the same household as the infested person is checked for live head lice and eggs.
Step 2. Removal – Every nit (egg) is removed with oil-combing. A comb, developed to catch adult head lice, nymphs,and eggs in one stroke is used to comb through the hair. Any eggs that would remain in the hair after oil-combing are killed by the comb and cannot hatch. HL911 Organic Oil-spray is used to make the hair easier to comb as well as to repel live head lice.
Step 3. House-cleaning and follow-up, a check list for simple house cleaning as well as how to check for re-infestation is handed out once step 2 is completed.
It takes approximately 15-30 minutes to perform step one, and another 1-2.5 hours to complete step 2.
The time for a treatment depends on the length of the hair and on the severity of the infestation.
The HL 911 method is highly efficient and will kill or get rid of all head lice and eggs in an infested person.
A two week warranty is issued after each full treatment, it is valid if all instructions for house hold cleaning and follow-up head lice checks are followed.
If nymphs or eggs are found within two weeks of our treatment, the nymphs and eggs will be removed free of charge by Head lice 911.
